I’m thinkink about getting an inspection camera, and I keep hearing about the Ridgid SeeSnake. Looks like it does the job proper but the price is pretty steep especially for someone like me just getting started.
Is it worth the money? Does it really help that much with stuff like finding blockages or checking pipes? Or is there something cheaper that’s decent enough for a beginner? Also, is it easy to use, or does it take ages to get the hang of it?
Ridgid SeeSnake is a solid bit of kit, no doubt bout that. It’s reliable, tough as nails, and gives you clear images, which can save a ton of time on tricky jobs like blockages or hidden leaks. But yeah, it’s a big investment, especially if yer just startin out.
If not takin’ on loads of inspection jobs yet, I’d say hold off splashin’ out on the SeeSnake for now. There’s cheaper options, like the Milwaukee M12 cameras or even some entry-level inspection cameras that’ll do the basics without breakin’ the bank. They’re not as durable or fancy, but they’ll get the job done for smaller gigs.
Look into the Milwaukee M12 inspection camera – it’s reliable and a lot cheaper. Another option could be the Depstech wifi cameras; they’re not as durable but good enough for light use and cost a fraction of the price.
