So, I was in a bit of a rush and thought I’d save a few quid by grabbin’ a cheap pipe cutter off Amazon. Looked decent enough in the pictures, and the reviews weren’t terrible, so I figured, why not?

First job with it, and I knew I’d made a mistake. The thing struggled to grip properly, and every time I tried to make a cut, it either slipped off the pipe or left a rough edge. Took me three times as long to cut a single pipe, and even then, the finish was shocking – had to file it down just to make it usable.

By the second job, the blade started dullin’, and it wouldn’t even cut through thin copper without a fight. Ended up goin’ back to my old faithful, which made me wonder why I even bothered tryin’ to save a few quid.

Lesson learned – sometimes, spendin’ a bit more on a decent tool saves you time, hassle, and a load of frustration. Anyone else had the same issue with these so-called ‘bargains’?
