I’m working on a job with copper pipes and wondering if plastic push-fit fittings are okay to use. Will they hold up, or am I better off using something like compression fittings instead?

If they’re fine to use, is there anything I should watch out for to make sure they don’t leak? Would be great to hear from anyone who’s used them before – cheers!

Yes, you can use plastic push-fit on copper pipes, but make sure the pipe is clean, smooth, and cut square. Push it fully into the fitting until it hits the stop, and check for any burrs that might cause leaks. Some brands recommend pipe inserts even for copper, so double-check that too.
