I’m looking to get more plumbing jobs in my local area and wondering what the best SEO strategies are for plumbers. Should I focus on Google My Business, or is it worth investing in a full website with blogs and all that?

What’s worked best for you – targeting specific keywords, building reviews, or something else? Any tips for getting to the top of local search results would be really helpful. Cheers!

Local SEO is key for plumbers, and Google My Business (now Google Business Profile) is a must. Make sure your profile is fully optimised – add your service areas, upload photos of your work, and get as many positive reviews as possible. It makes a big difference in local searches.

A website is also worth it, even if it’s simple. Focus on local keywords like 'emergency plumber in [your town]' or 'boiler repair near me.' Adding a blog with tips or common plumbing issues can help too – it builds trust and boosts rankings over time.

Another great option is to get listed on SEO-optimised directories like Screwhero.com. They’re built to rank well and can help drive local traffic to your business without you needing to do all the heavy lifting yourself. Combine this with good backlinks from trade sites or local directories, and you’ll be in a strong position to grow!
